Moist Fruit-filled Bundt Cake
Description
Moist and delicious cake! It uses a cake mix and a can of cherry pie filling...and just 3 more ingredients...YUM! Submitted by Casey at www.fun-birthday-party-ideas.com
Ingredients
- 1 box cake mix (any flavor)
- 3 eggs
- 1/3 cup cooking oil
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling
Methods/steps
- Pre-heat oven to 350°F (175°C) [or 325°F (160°C) if using a dark/non-stick pan].
- Mix together the cake mix, eggs, oil, and water.
- Set aside about 1/2 cup of the pie filling to use for the top. Mix in the rest of the pie filling into the cake batter.
- Grease and flour a bundt pan (or cake pan). Pour the cake batter into the pan. Cook for about 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool for 10 minutes.
- Place cake onto serving platter.
- Spoon the remaining pie filling onto the top of the cake. (Add a drizzle of confectioner's sugar and water mixture after the cake is completely cooled if desired)
Additional Tips
You can substitute your favorite pie filling flavor to make it just the way you like. Using blueberry pie filling makes the cake taste like moist blueberry muffins (and this is the one my daughter loves most)
