Macaroni Shrimp Salad
The french dressing gives this Macaroni Shrimp Salad a little tang.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup uncooked elbow macaroni
- 1/2 pound small shrimp, cooked
- 1/2 cup frozen peas, thawed
- 1 rib of celery, chopped fine
- 1 small onion, chopped fine
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup French dressing
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- 1 Tablespoon white wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Methods/steps
- Cook the macaroni according to the direction on the package.
- Drain the macaroni, rinse in cool water and drain again.
- Place the macaroni into a salad bowl.
- Add in the shrimp, peas, celery and onion and toss to combine the ingredients together well.
- Place the mayonnaise in a small mixing bowl.
- Add the French dressing, sugar and vinegar.
- Whisk to combine the ingredients together.
- Sprinkle in the paprika, salt, garlic powder and pepper.
- Whisk briskly to incorporate all the ingredients together well.
- Pour the dressing over the salad and toss to coat all the ingredients well.
- Cover and chill at least 4 hours before serving.
