Easy Bourbon French Toast
What a great way to start a lazy Saturday morning. This recipe serves 10 but can be divided.
Ingredients
- 12 eggs
- 4 teaspoons sugar
- 1 1/4 cups bourbon, divided
- 1 cup milk
- cooking oil
- 1 1/2 loafs french bread cut into 1/2 inch slices
- powdered sugar
- 2 cups pure maple syrup
Methods/steps
- Beat eggs and sugar. Stir in 1 cup of bourbon and milk.
- Coat griddle with oil.
- Dip bread into batter. Fry until crisp and golden brown on both sides. Dust with powdered sugar.
- Serve with maple syrup in which the remainder of bourbon has been added.
Additional Tips
You can add vanilla or top with bananas.
